JADE SCOTT participates in the Arena Stage Playwrights' Arena fellowship 2020/2021.
Jade Scott is a senior Theatre Arts Administration major, Playwriting minor from Tampa, Florida. She is a writer and producer who received her formal training at the illustrious Howard University (BFA '21). She is the founder of WGC Productions and she hosts the podcast On Their Way. She enjoys short walks on the beach, long walks through the mountains, and she is trying to learn how to knit, despite the fact that every day it looks more unlikely that she will.
Gillian Clifford serves as an apprentice for Company E in Washington, D.C.
Gillian Clifford is a 20-year-old Senior Dance major and Strategic, Law, and Management Communications minor attending Howard University. Since the age of 12 until her senior year of high school, Gillian has been a part of a national competitive dance team and has studied all forms of dance. Throughout her years of dancing, she has trained with multiple well known companies and organizations such as NYSSSA (New York State Summer School of the Arts), Joffrey Ballet, Alvin Ailey, Anthony Burrell, Contemporary West Dance Theatre, Deeply Rooted Dance Theatre, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, and the Radio City Rockettes. Gillian has been involved in many local photoshoots and projects as well, including a role as a dancer in a short film, “7,” by Jordan Shanks and a cover shoot for a Howard student-run magazine, The Premiere Magazine. During her time at Howard, she has performed in four showcases with pieces choreographed by both students and guest choreographers, including Tommie Waheed-Evans, Brian Flynn, and Edward Franklin. Her training at Howard under professors Pat Thomas, Jocelyn Isaac, and Royce Zackery, consists primarily of Ballet, Graham and Horton technique and other classes including Pointe, Jazz and Jazz Funk. Currently, she serves as an apprentice for Company E in Washington, D.C.
