🚧 CABCoFA Facilities Renovations Underway

Dear Students,

The Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts (CABCoFA) is receiving a major facilities upgrade to better serve our students, faculty, and community. These renovations will modernize our learning, rehearsal, and performance spaces, enhancing academic and creative experiences for years to come.

What to Expect

  • Temporary changes in room assignments and access: Some classes, rehearsals, and offices will relocate to the Oddfellows Building (1851 9th Street NW) during construction phases.
  • Possible noise and traffic in certain areas: We’ll do our best to minimize disruptions and keep you informed about impacted spaces.
  • Improved facilities upon completion: New and refreshed spaces designed for artistic excellence and collaboration.

  • Department of Art – 2nd Floor | Completion: December 2025

Parking is available at the Howard Center lot through December 2025. This is the closest lot to Oddfellows. Otherwise, street parking is available in the surrounding area.

Looking Ahead

Like a facelift, these renovations may bring some short-term discomfort, but the results will be a refreshed, more vibrant home for creativity, one that reflects the excellence and ambition of our community. We will share regular updates so you know what’s happening and how it may affect your classes, rehearsals, and events.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and flexibility as we invest in the future of CABCoFA.

Warm Regards,

Office of The Dean
