34th Annual James A. Porter Colloquium on African American Art and Art of the African Diaspora, "Art Legacies, Aesthetic Futures: Art at Howard University" seeks to highlight new scholarship on the history of art at Howard University from the Department of Art—across students, faculty and institutional units—to the rich art collections housed across the campus. Colloquium proceedings will explore historical and contemporary institutional partnerships that have made Howard an anchor in the American art landscape.
