Strategic Communications and Storytelling for the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts

The Office of Marketing and Communications, housed within the Office of the Dean, leads strategic communications and storytelling for the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts. The office oversees the College’s website, email communications, media relations, print materials, and social media channels, ensuring alignment with Howard University brand standards and the College’s institutional vision.

In partnership with the Dean and College leadership, the office supports visibility, audience engagement, and narrative strategy while helping strengthen the College’s public presence and reputation.

Areas of Support:
  • Strategic Communications and Narrative Development
    • Messaging strategy aligned with College priorities, institutional goals, and audience engagement.
  • Brand Stewardship and Media Relations
    • Oversight of visual and verbal brand consistency, media outreach, interview coordination, and publicity strategy.
  • Editorial and Institutional Storytelling
    • Development of print and digital stories highlighting faculty research, student achievement, alumni impact, and major initiatives.
  • Website, Email, and Digital Communications
  • Event Promotion and Creative Support
    • Communications strategy for performances, exhibitions, lectures, and signature events, including photography, videography, and promotional assets.

Working With Our Office

Strategic communications is most effective when it is integrated early into the planning process. The Office of Marketing and Communications works collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, departments, and College leadership to support the visibility and public positioning of the College’s programs, initiatives, events, and achievements.

Early coordination allows for stronger storytelling, clearer messaging, more effective audience engagement, and alignment across digital, print, web, media, and social platforms.

The office encourages advance collaboration for:
