In Great Company | Celebrating the Life of David C. Driskell

The Howard University Division of Fine Arts invites you to a celebrate the life of influential artist, scholar, and family man, David C. Driskell with a goal of healing and remembering.

The Driskell family, artist-friends, and past students will share memories of their beloved David Driskell, including artists and historians Mary Lovelace O'Neal, Dr. Gwendolyn Everett, Dr. Lisa Farrington, Dr. Starmanda Bullock, and Sylvia Snowden. Entitled "In Great Company" and penned by Howard University Gallery of Art Assistant Director, Mr. Scott Baker, a specially written biography will be read, accompanied by images from Dr. Driskell's long and illustrious career. An exhibition of Dr. Driskell's life, curated especially for the event by Dr. Abby Eron, Gallery Registrar, will also be featured.
