Howard University has discontinued its offering of the Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History as of June 30, 2021. The University continues to offer Art History courses to support:
- The remaining Art History degree candidates (majors and minors) to complete their degrees by 2025;
- The Department of Art's Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts degree programs; and,
- Divisional Humanities offerings to the rest of the University.

Two-Year Paid Undergraduate Internships
The Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts at the National Gallery of Art, in partnership with Howard University, has established a program of two-year, paid undergraduate internships aimed at creating pathways to careers in museums and arts-related organizations.
