Concert Band

The Howard University Concert Band is one of the premiere performing ensembles in the Office of Choirs and Bands. It is among the top collegiate symphonic bands in the country, and maintains a vigorous performance and rehearsal schedule throughout the academic year.

The Concert Band rehearses 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from 3:10 - 5:00 PM in the Band Room on the lower level of Childers Hall.

Auditions

Ensemble membership is open to all Howard University students. Ensemble auditions are held at the discretion of the ensemble associate director. Interested students are encouraged to contact Michael Fitzhugh by email at michael.fitzhugh@howard.edu to schedule an audition.
