Welcome to the Marketing and Communications Office in the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts

The Marketing and Communications Office advances the visibility, reputation, and strategic positioning of the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts. We shape and steward the College’s narrative across platforms, ensuring that every public-facing message reflects our mission, artistic excellence, and institutional legacy.

Through thoughtful storytelling and coordinated communications strategy, we engage current and prospective students, alumni, donors, media partners, the University community, and the broader public. We oversee the College’s website, digital and print communications, email newsletters, media relations, and social media channels, aligning all content with Howard University brand standards and the College’s evolving vision.

Beyond content creation, our office functions as a strategic partner to the Dean, faculty, staff, and students — advising on messaging, sequencing, visibility, and audience engagement.

  • Strategic Communications Planning and Narrative Development
    Messaging guidance that aligns initiatives with the College’s mission, priorities, and long-term goals.
  • Brand Stewardship and Identity Management
    Oversight of visual and verbal brand consistency in accordance with Howard University guidelines.
  • Media Relations and Publicity
    News releases, media pitching, interview coordination, and media training for faculty, administrators, staff, and students.
  • Feature Writing and Institutional Storytelling
    In-depth print and digital stories highlighting faculty research, student achievement, alumni impact, and major initiatives.
  • Website Strategy and Content Management
    Content development, editing, and oversight of the College website to ensure clarity, accuracy, accessibility, and strategic alignment.
  • Email Marketing and Digital Engagement
    Editorial planning and management of the College’s newsletter and digital campaigns.
  • Event Promotion and Visibility Strategy
    Coordinated communications plans for performances, exhibitions, lectures, and signature events.
  • Editorial and Creative Support
    Copy editing for web and print materials; coordination of photography, videography, and visual assets.
  • Writing and Distribution Guidance
    Strategic consultation on audience targeting, tone, and dissemination across platforms.
